Note from the Mayor:
It’s an exciting time of year with countless events, festivals and attractions that entertain both residents and visitors, showcasing the best of our beautiful city. Doors Open Ottawa, a beloved annual tradition, draws dedicated fans and continues to attract more residents and visitors every year.
The Doors Open Ottawa 2025 is happening the weekend of June 7 and 8. It’s a unique opportunity to get a behindthe-door look at the many iconic and historic buildings that many of us walk, cycle or drive by every day and have always wondered what it looks like inside. Some of the buildings include the Ottawa Art Gallery, the Royal Canadian Mint, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. You can even go behind the scenes at the Lemieux Island water treatment plant to see how clean water gets to your tap.
In addition to the in-person tours, Doors Open Ottawa 2025 also has some virtual tours as well – giving you the chance to explore some of Ottawa’s most fascinating buildings from wherever you are — right from your phone, tablet, or computer.
I invite you, your family and your friends – even those outside the city – to take part in this incredible event. It’s a chance to discover and celebrate Ottawa’s architecture, history, and culture.
If you’re planning to tour in person, I encourage you to use OC Transpo and O-Train Lines 1 and 2 for a convenient way to get around. And while you’re out exploring, take some time to enjoy the neighbourhoods — visit local shops, grab a coffee, or stop in for a bite at one of our great restaurants.
Whether you visit online or in-person, I hope you enjoy Doors Open Ottawa 2025. Thank you to everyone involved in organizing this much-loved event.
